Jim’s First Cup was inspired by my friend Jimmy—Jim to some—and the mornings we shared in the Boy Scouts. Waking up after a night under the stars, we would find the troop leaders getting the fires going, with coffee brewing and breakfast on the way.

That familiar coffee aroma stayed with me: rich, warm, and tied to the kind of mornings you remember for years.

Jim’s First Cup brings roasted coffee and soft vanilla into your home. In the jar, a hint of smoke recalls a coffee pot over an open fire. Light it with a good book, over an unhurried morning conversation, or whenever you want a little of that camp-morning feeling.

The Scent

Coffee — rich roasted-coffee character, inspired by a fresh pot brewing.
Vanilla — a soft sweetness that rounds out the coffee.
A hint of smoke in the jar — a finishing touch inspired by coffee made over a campfire.

Want to enjoy this scent without a candle flame? Our wax melts, where available, are designed for use with an electric wax warmer, giving you a flame-free way to enjoy fragrance in spaces shared with family, guests, or pets.

Electric warmer only. Do not use with a tea-light or any flame-heated wax warmer. An electric warmer removes the open flame, but it still uses heat and electricity, and melted wax can be hot. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, keep it away from water and flammable materials, keep the warmer and hot wax out of reach of children and pets, follow the warmer manufacturer’s instructions, and do not leave it operating unattended.

If a person or pet appears sensitive to fragrance, stop use and ventilate the room. Wax melts contain 6 pieces with a total net weight of 2.7oz. Availability may vary by scent.

Every Candle Has a Story.

My brother and I joined the Boy Scouts with my best friend Jimmy when we were young teenagers. Jim has always been the kind of person who wants to meet everyone—and make sure they hear his story, too.

Over the years, he became a coffee lover, exploring coffees from around the world. For me, the smell of a coffee shop or a bag of beans still brings back those mornings at camp, and the later photography trips when we brewed coffee over an open fire again.
